Making the World a Better Place Posted: Oct 25, 2010 Daisy Girl Scout Troop 66174 from Granby earned their "Make the World a Better Place" petal by completing a community service project at Holcomb Farm in Granby. The girls cleaned the Children's Garden, set up compost bins, and then filled the bins with the dead plant material removed from the garden. The girls also spent time turning over the soil, spreading hay, and then spreading seeds to grow winter rye in the garden. We plan to return in the spring to see how the compost is coming along!
