Brownie in Branford in 1960 Posted: Oct 31, 2011
I was a Girl Scout in Branford in the late 50's until about 1965. My leaders over those years were Vivian Berry, Mae Tucker, Elaine Boyington and Deanne Zyrlis. We (Troop 272)met at the Echlin Manufacturing Co. on Wednesday evenings and I remember a fun weekend that we spent at Old Sturbridge Village and cookouts at Camp Townshend and Camp Seeley. I was later a leader for my daughter's Troop 25 in Cheshire for 11 years and have now been employed with GSOFCT for 4 years.
