I spent two summers camping at Alice Merrit. The first summer I was very homesick and there was a really nice counselor by the name of April. Never forgot her. There were two sides to the camp one on each side of the road. We used to think that all the cool kids were on the other side. I remember this one girl who went by the nick name of Cricket. Think she was from East Hartford. Other memories include campfires, smores, singing songs, climbing trees, swimming. Had a great time at camp. Loved it. Except for sleeping in the wooden structures with just tarp covering them. It was simiar to a tent on a platform.
