I'm 62 years old and can remember when Iwakta was a brand new resident camp. We had just one tent unit, and girls had to be experienced campers to attend. Since there was no waterfront at camp, we were taken in an open truck (!) to the pond in Norfolk to swim. One day the truck broke down and we HIKED back to camp. Climbing Haystack, going to Bash Bish Falls, and exploring the nearby bog were favorite Iwakta summer camp activities. So glad to see the site is still being used! We loved it!
