Girl Scouts of Connecticut
Home  |  Contact

Since 1912, Girl Scouts has helped Connecticut's girls build courage, confidence and character. While we have always remained true to Juliette Gordon Low's vision, we are constantly evolving. That's why we say we're 100 years young! Join us, and see how Girl Scouts discover themselves as they explore their world, connect with others and take action through activities and programs that are relevant and exciting to girls today.

Stop Motion Animation
Recreate a popular film with clay and an iPod! The dramatic beats of a scene are the moments where new, important information is revealed. Learn to identify these moments for good storytelling. During this three-hour workshop, analyze a popular book-to-movie script to find the dramatic beats, then work together to recreate the most important scenes with stop motion animation, a technique that involves reproducing images sequentially to create the illusion of movement.
