INVITE A FRIEND TO BE A LEADER!
Everything is more fun with a friend! And that includes being a Girl Scout Volunteer! From November 1-December 1, GSOFCT is partnering with GSUSA to offer volunteers who recruit a friend to start a new K–5 troop $50 to use at Girl Scouts’ Official Online Store. The person you successfully recruit to volunteer will get a new Volunteer Resource Pack (a Girl’s Guide, a Journey set, a badge pack, a tote, and pins)!

Mark your calendars and get your tickets now for the GSOFCT Fun Fest on May 16, 2015 at the Durham Fairgrounds! We'll have entertainment for everyone, tons of yummy food vendors, and fun Girl Scout activities! Early bird tickets are just $20 until January 9 and include a free shuttle from the off-site parking and a frozen treat.

CHOOSE THE NEW OUTDOOR BADGES!
Girl Scouts is developing several outdoor badges to add to its program next year. For the first time ever, girls will decide what those badges will be! You have until November 30 to vote on the theme, then during December you will get to vote on the badge topics. So, go ahead! Tell us what you want!
COME SING WITH US!
The GSOFCT Chorus is open to any Girl Scout Juniors and older who love music and singing! Several rehearsals are scheduled, but you don't need to attend them all. This year the Chorus has scheduled performances at sports events, Mall Madness, and the Fun Fest. Adult help is always appreciated, too! For more info click here.

UNITING TO "BAN BOSSY"
Girl Scouts of the USA and Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO, author of Lean In, and founder of LeanIn.org have partnered to empower girls to lead. Ban Bossy is about coming together to encourage girls to pursue leadership roles at home, at school, and in their lives by challenging people to stop using the word "bossy." Girl Scout Day with the Hartford Hawks!
Brownie and Juniors can join female student-athletes from the University of Hartford on December 7 for an afternoon of engaging athletic activities, followed by an open swim in the indoor pool, lunch in the student dining hall, and a Hartford Hawks women’s basketball game vs. Boston College! Register by November 24.
