Please be aware that we will be performing some technical maintenance during this time. There may be intermittent outages in our phone and email systems on December 29. On December 30, our phones, email, and the Program and Training Registration area will be unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We'll have entertainment for everyone, tons of yummy food vendors, and fun Girl Scout activities! Girl Scouts of the USA and Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO, author of Lean In, and founder of LeanIn.org have partnered to empower girls to lead. Ban Bossy is about coming together to encourage girls to pursue leadership roles at home, at school, and in their lives by challenging people to stop using the word "bossy." THE NEWEST DIGITAL TOOL FOR COOKIES!

We are excited to introduce the Digital Order Card, the newest tool in the Girl Scout Cookie Program! The Girl Scout Cookie Program has added a true digital component, and being a rock star cookie boss has never been easier. The Digital Order Card is fun, safe, easy, and super cool! Parents and Guardians can get their girl started by filling out the Digital Order Card online sign-up form. For more info, check out the Cookie Connection!


For Cookie Buyers
We’re excited about the launch of Digital Cookie! It’s one of the many tools that will be available for girls as they work towards their goals in the Cookie Program.

Here in CT, customers will be able to purchase cookies from our girls beginning January 2, 2015 – which is the official date that our Cookie Program begins in the state. Digital Cookie is one tool that girls can use to reach customers, but please know that customers will need to be contacted by a Girl Scout before purchasing online. If you have any questions or would like to be connected to a Girl Scout to order cookies, contact Product Sales at productsales@gsofct.org.


CELEBRATE THE START OF THE COOKIE PROGRAM AT A COOKIE RALLY!


 Let's get an AMAZING start to the Cookie program! Come to a Cookie Rally Saturday, January 10! Drop in any time between noon and 4:00 p.m. There'll be fun activities for everyone, and every girl who participates will earn a patch. Come as a troop or family. See this flyer for more info!

UPCOMING GIRL PROGRAMS

TelescopeGalactic Explorers Series
Travel to deep space and become an amateur astronomer! In this 4-session program series for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors you'll be able to blast off into astronomy. Join us at Camp Laurel on January 11, 18, 25, and February 1. Fee of $15 includes all four sessions, Galactic Explorer booklet, and patch. Register by January 6!

Girl Scout Traditions
Brownies can learn about Girl Scout traditions with hands-on activities such as The Law, The Promise, SWAPS, and songs at Camp Pattagansett in East Lyme on January 31. Complete some steps towards the Brownie Girl Scout Way badge, then complete it on your own or with your troop.
Register by January 15.

Bling it Out
Juniors can bring the bling on February 7 at Pattagansett in East Lyme. Bring your creativity and make a variety of bracelets, necklaces, and earrings using different techniques and materials. Learn about jewelry from around the world and explore birthstones. Register by January 19

Girls and Women in Sports Days
Sports StuffFairfield University - February 1
Juniors and Cadettes will spend the morning with the young women athletes of Fairfield University. Sample the many sports they play, and then let them take you to lunch at the campus dining hall. Register by January 16.

University of New Haven - February 7
Girls in grades 5-8 will spend the day with the young women athletes of the University of New Haven. Sports include basketball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, track, field, tennis, volleyball, field hockey, and cheerleading! Register by January 23.

UPCOMING VOLUNTEER TRAININGS

Become a Girlz R.U.L.E.® facilitator

Volunteers and Girl Scout Ambassadors are needed to facilitate our unique anti-bullying program for girls in grades three through eight, which may be offered during school hours, immediately after school, or in one-day workshops or events.

There are two upcoming facilitator trainings!
January 31, 2015 - Camp Candlewood, New Fairfield - 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (RSVP by January 20)
February 21, 2015 - Camp Pattagansett, East Lyme - 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  (RSVP by February 9)
