Girl Scouts Host Summer Camp Open House for ALL Girls on May 1

April 26, 2011

Girl Scouts of Connecticut is hosting fun open house events at all of its summer camps on Sunday, May 1 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. The Girl Scout camps will be open to the public and families are encouraged to attend and discover the exciting summer camp programs designed for all girls entering grades 1-12. The camp open houses will allow families to tour the facilities, meet with the camp directors and staff members, and learn about camp life. “With 9 day camps located throughout the state and 3 residential camps, Girl Scouts of Connecticut offers all girls a safe, fun environment where they can discover their individual strengths, connect with new friends, and learn through first-hand experiences,” said Linda Bresky, Director of Outdoor Programs for Girl Scouts of Connecticut. “Girls participating in our summer camp programs feel a sense of inclusion and community that helps to boost their self-esteem and appreciate the diversity among their campmates.”
