Girl Scouts of Connecticut, Naugatuck Valley Community College to host 3rd annual Nuestra Voz Latina

Girl Scouts of Connecticut and co-sponsors Naugatuck Valley Community College and the Latina A.R.M.Y. will host the 3rd annual Nuestra Voz Latina: A Leadership Conference, at the college campus on Saturday, March 31, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This event is open to all girls in grades 6-12, either with a troop, as an individual, or with an adult. Mothers and female adults are also welcome to attend the day’s activities, which includes a variety of different workshops. These workshops touch on topics such as college knowledge, which also has the option of a campus tour, building self-esteem, healthy living, and learning important business skills. A self-defense seminar will also be offered.
The fee is $5 for Girl Scouts and $17 for non-Girl Scouts. Girls may register online and find further information about Girl Scouts at www.gsofct.org.
