Girl Scout summer camps throughout state still accepting registrations

May 21, 2013

Space is still available for all girls in grades 1-12 to have a fun, safe place to explore and learn in the outdoors! Girls don’t have to be Girl Scouts to participate in the fun!

Summer camp benefits children in many ways, including increased self-esteem and confidence, further development of social skills to make new friends, and a greater sense of independence. Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s 9 day camps across the state and 3 resident camps offer girls these opportunities and more, as they explore the wonders of nature, stem summer learning loss, and create treasured memories that will last a lifetime.

In addition to traditional arts & crafts, swimming, hiking, games, and nature walks, Girl Scout camps offer girls a variety of unique programs, such as tennis, archery, science experiments, summer reading programs, theater, and, at select camps, the opportunity to use zip lines or take horseback riding lessons.

Girl Scouts of Connecticut is pleased to participate in SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards® Program, free of charge to all families with children who attend Girl Scout summer camps. Once registered, families can receive guaranteed scholarships, redeemable for up to one full year’s tuition, at 300 participating private colleges and universities. For more information, visit www.tuitionrewards.com/ACA.
