Girl Scouts of Connecticut donates 3,800 cans of food products to American Red Cross, Connecticut Chapter

November 27, 2013

3,800 cans of Honey Roasted Peanuts will be donated to the American Red Cross, Connecticut Chapter, delivered by Girl Scouts of Connecticut.

During Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s fall product sale, girls asked customers to purchase a can of peanuts to help support the American Red Cross, Connecticut Chapter and the services they provide throughout 168 towns in Connecticut. The initial goal was 1,700 cans and the final tally was 3,800 - well surpassing the goal in the program’s first year!

“It’s a pleasure to be able to assist the American Red Cross Connecticut Chapter for all the hard work they do in supporting people across the state,” said Mary Barneby, CEO, Girl Scouts of Connecticut. “We’re happy to do our part to help others and make the world a better place!”
