Holiday Letter

December 1, 2008

December 2008

To the Editor:

During this holiday season, we send a special thank you to all who support Girl Scouts of Connecticut. Without you, we would not be able to accomplish our mission to build "girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place."

I would like to extend my sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the 21,000 volunteers in Connecticut who give of their time and the many donors who help make the Girl Scout program possible.   These gifts are greatly appreciated by the 46,000 girls in 169 cities and towns served by Girl Scouts of Connecticut. The work of our organization is made possible through the time, dedication, philanthropy, and kindness of our supporters.

Now entering our second year as Girl Scouts of Connecticut - the largest girl-driven organization in the state - we proudly celebrate and salute our supporters. With your help this holiday season, we can continue to provide the incredible leadership experiences for girls that are the hallmark of Girl Scouting.

Thank you for your support of quality programming for Girl Scouts in grades K-12 which help girls prepare themselves for the challenges of today and the future by instilling positive values, building leadership skills, and developing self-esteem.

Warm wishes,

Jennifer Smith Turner, CEO
