Girl Scouts of Connecticut Offers Communities a Chance to Buy Cookies Before the New Year

October 26, 2009

October 22, 2009 - Girl Scout cookie fans no longer have to wait until the New Year to get their favorite cookie! Girl Scouts of Connecticut will be selling cookies at a variety of locations from November 3-8. More than 350 cookie booths located throughout the state at schools, grocery stores, and other businesses will allow cookie lovers to stock up on their favorite treats for a limited time before the holiday season. Additionally, in honor of the Marine Corps Birthday on November 10 and Veteran's Day on November 11, many of the booths will offer customers the opportunity to purchase cookies to be sent to military troops around the world as part of Girl Scouts of Connecticut's Gift of Caring program.

Your Girl Scout cookie favorites, Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, Lemon Chalet, and a bite-size Dulce De Leche, will be available along with a new cookie treat. Select booth locations will feature a sneak peak of the new Girl Scout Cookie that will be announced at the kickoff of the official cookie season in January. The new cookie features real, premium cranberries with sweet, creamy white fudge chips and is a special thank you to our many Girl Scout supporters.

Throughout this year's Girl Scout cookie program, Girl Scouts across Connecticut will be inspiring change. The theme this year is Inspired by U, and by participating in the cookie program, girls in every level of Girl Scouting will be inspired to discover their special strengths, make connections with people in their community, and use the power of Girl Scout cookies to take action and change their world.

Information about election booth cookie sales and a list of booth locations in your area is available on our Cookie Locator page.
