Troop Uses Cookie Sales to Benefit Local Food Pantry

Redding Brownie Troop 50727 presented grocery gift cards to the Redding Food Pantry last Thursday. The Troop bought the gift cards with their proceeds from the special November Elections Cookie Sale. Troop 50727 sold 90 boxes at their booth at the Redding transfer station the previous Saturday and 22 boxes were sold and sent to the U.S. Military troops in Iraq. Gail Shiron accepted the gift cards and showed the girls the inner workings of the Redding Food Pantry. The girls are working on their Girls Scout Ways badge and the Caring and Sharing badge.
