Bridget Hegarty, Brookfield - For her Gold Award project, Bridget chose to increase awareness of the challenges faced by teens with celiac disease. She developed a website and a booklet to educate the public on the disease and the special issues teens face who are afflicted with celiac disease. The booklet was distributed through local schools and was sent to the local celiac support group to assist them in supporting teens with the disease.
