Girl Scouts of Connecticut: Family Camp

To register for family camping events, use the Family Camp Registration Form available on our website or contact the Outdoor Program Department and request a packet. These events are designed as family events and not as troop events, so gather your family and come enjoy the outdoors together! Every girl participant 5 years and older must be registered for the 2011-12 membership year or pay the additional $12 GSUSA registration. Adults (men and women over 18) are encouraged to become registered Girl Scouts.

Pattagansett Staycation at Pattagansett in East Lyme, CT

Fee $50 for a family of up to five members
Ready for a camping adventure? Pack your clothes, food, and cooking gear and head to beautiful Camp Pattagansett for a family staycation! Your accommodations will include a platform tent, picnic table, and shared portos. You can relax in camp with your family or take day trips out. Swimming, boating, arts & crafts, challenge activities, and evening programs will be available according to schedule.

Stars and Stripes Family Camp at Timber Trails in Tolland, MA

Fee $50 per person (children under 4 years of age attend free)
Can you think of a better way to spend your weekend than in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains with those you love? Staff and volunteers are on hand to run programs such as swimming, nature hikes, arts & crafts, boating, archery, making s’mores around the campfire, and more! Five units, each containing five cabins and a centralized “washstand” with flush toilets and sinks are available. Each cabin houses eight people. Meals are served family style in our dining hall starting with Saturday breakfast. So pack your bags and bring the gang to have an adventure-filled weekend. Pony rides are available for a $5 fee at the time of activity.

Family Camp Overnight at Camp Laurel in Lebanon, CT

Fee $50 per person (children under 4 years of age attend free)
Come enjoy more than 300 beautiful acres of woods, water, and fields where you can explore fun hobbies and healthy lifestyles with your family! Water and field sports, challenge activities, basic Campcraft workshops, and hand art projects will be offered. Most accommodations will be platform tents with four cots and mattresses or cabins with a minimum of eight needed and a maximum of 16. Hot water showers and sinks are available in the shower house; most toilets are portable and are located in each unit along with cold-water hand washing stations. Meals are in our dining hall starting with Saturday breakfast. So pack your bags and bring the family to have an adventure-filled weekend.

Summer Getaway at Timber Trails in Tolland, MA

Fee $35 per person
Come enjoy a beautiful overnight at Camp Timber Trails. You will have the opportunity to go boating, swimming, sunbathing or try your skills at Archery. Take a break in your busy schedule to getaway. 3 meals on Sunday are included. Bring peanut-free bag dinner for Saturday night.

Family Camp at Candlewood in New Fairfield, CT

Spend the end of summer with your family and relax at Camp Candlewood. Go sailing, canoeing, spend time at the beach, and enjoy “pixie time” where trained counselors watch the children so adults can relax. Core staff provides programs like archery, arts & crafts, and challenge activities. Meals are served in the dining hall.
