Grade-Level Learning Events


Want to expand on your troop skills, get additional skills to help you work with the girls, or just have some fun?  Then Learning Events are for you.  These courses are enhancements to your required training.  

Daisy Flower FriendsExplore the Journey – Girl Scout Daisies

Give the youngest girls a special start to Girl Scouting. This course will provide you with tips for planning the Girl Scout Daisy year. Topics covered include how to plan a Daisy meeting, hold an Investiture, and information on earning the Daisy Petals. You will get the opportunity to explore the Daisy Leadership Journeys by walking through a sample session, gaining helpful hints on how to complete activities related to that specific topic. This course will also review the steps to earn the Journey Awards, guiding you through a series of activities taken from the Girl Scout Daisy Journeys.

Course length: 3 hours
Fee: $15 (for Adult Journey Guide Book)


Brownie ElfExplore the Journey – Girl Scout Brownies

 “Twist me, turn me, and show me the Elf.” This course will provide you with tips for working with Girl Scout Brownies and the three Brownie Leadership Journeys. Work with a sample session and learn effective methods for guiding girls along their journey through a series of fun activities taken from the Girl Scout Brownie Journeys.

Course length: 3 hours
Fee: $15 (for Adult Journey Guide Book)



Dez the spiderExplore the Journey – Girl Scout Juniors

Moving up to Juniors – it’s a different world! This course will explore the girl-led process and provide information to help empower girls in planning activities for themselves. You will participate in a variety of activities taken from the Girl Scout Junior Leadership Journeys series that will help you guide your girls in an effective and fun Take Action Project.
 
Course length: 3 hours
Fee: $15 (for Adult Journey Guide Book)



Journey ForwardOlder Girls Leading the Way

How do you keep older girls in Girl Scouting? Find out how to use the current program resources – Leadership Journeys and the Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting. Information will also be provided on the older girl awards. Come find out ways to keep the girls interested and having fun.
 
Course length: 3 hours
Fee: $15 (for Adult Journey Guide Book)


Please note: Many classes are provided at no charge, but some may require a fee to cover the cost of materials or supplies. Additional fees, if any, will be noted at time of course registration.
