Self-study Courses

LaptopGSOFCT Independent Learning Courses

Basic Leader Training, Out and About, and Camping Adventures Update are offered as self-study. Volunteers who cannot attend a regularly scheduled class can complete their training with this option.

Interaction and sharing among course participants is a valuable part of our adult education classes. We encourage volunteers to take courses in the classroom setting.

GSUSA Courses Online
There’s a good chance you’ve already logged on to http://training.girlscouts.org to watch Girl Scouting 101 or Volunteering for Girl Scout Series and Events, our self-paced, online orientations to Girl Scouting. Those online sessions and Volunteer Essentials are designed to give you all of the information you need to start working with girls. They’re always available; think of them as references you can use whenever you need them.

For volunteers interested in learning more about taking girls outside, check out Venturing Out, an introduction to outdoor training. Through this interactive session, you can see different scenarios your girls might enjoy. Make sure to click on the owl – she has additional information to share with you!

For more information about any of these courses, contact adultdev@gsofct.org.
