Janice Deskus -  leads Human Resources (HR) for Aetna, Inc. Global and Corporate areas. In this role, she is a member of the HR Executive Group and is responsible for HR Business Partners supporting Aetna's Corporate and Global organizations.

Janice has over 20 years experience in HR.  An expert in organization development, talent management, global HR, re-engineering and labor relations, she has led many critical and successful human resources initiatives.   Janice believes she was fortunate to have been selected as the first HR participant to be selected for the Operations Management Development Program at United Technologies Corporation. During her years outside of HR, Janice led a supplier certification program, developed a five year marketing strategy, acted as foreman for 50 machinists, and opened a "greenfield" distribution facility.   Back in HR, she has, among other accomplishments, negotiated numerous labor contracts, re-designed sales compensation plans and coached leaders at all levels.  As part of Aetna's historic turnaround from 2003-2005 she was Head of HR Business Partners for Middle Market, Small Group and Staff areas. 

She received a BA in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University, a MA in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from the University of New Haven and has completed all but her dissertation for a PH.D in Organizational Psychology at Saybrook Institute. 

Janice and her husband, Chris, reside in Willington, CT with their two boys, Fen and Nye.
