Katoya Volunteers named Heroes by Milford's Promise
Sally "Bubbles" Onofrio and Sue "Situpon" Stevens, both volunteers at Katoya Day Camp and Camp Buddies & Pals, were honored on October 16, 2014 at the Milford's Promise "Be a Hero" dinner. For more information, see the Milford's Promise webpage.
 

 

Mary Tesla
Girl Scout Volunteer named Star of Milford
The United Way of Milford recognized its Stars of Milford at its annual Community Builders Recognition Luncheon. Girl Scout Volunteer Mary Tesla was honored as a Star of Milford for Strengthening Families. Read more in the United Way of Milford June 2014 newsletter.


Former Board President Honored by Liberty Bank
Former GSOFCT Board President and Lifetime Girl Scout was honored on November 21, 2013, with the Liberty Bank 2013 Willard M. McRae Community Diversity Award. She is pictured at right (center) with GSOFCT representatives who attended the event. Read more about the award on Liberty Bank's website.

Loretta Paul Goldin Alumnae wins Best in Show
Girl Scout Volunteer and Distinguished Alumnae recently won Best in Show for photography at the North Haven Fair and Durham Fair. She is also an officer in the Milford Camera Club and a member of the Connecticut Association of Photographers. Congratulations Loretta!


Girl Scout Volunteer Kimberly McLean honored by CT Science Center
Kimberly McLean, a Girl Scout volunteer for nearly 20 years and a principal engineer with Electric Boat in Groton, was honored at the CT Science Center Green Gala on September 28, 2013 with the Petit Family Foundation Women in Science Leadership Award.

Kim was also recently awarded as a 2012 Woman of Innovation Award by the Connecticut Technology Council.

Darien Volunteer Sueann Schorr was nominated and selected as an honoree at the YWCA Darien/Norwalk Woman of Distinction awards. Read more about it on the YWCA website!

 

 

Dr. Cynthia Barnett
Girl Scout Volunteer Dr. Cynthia Barnett named a Woman of Innovation
Dr. Cynthia Barnett, a teacher, guidance counselor, and assistant principal in the Norwalk Public School system for 30 years and a Girl Scout volunteer, was recently awarded a 2013 Woman of Innovation Award by the Connecticut Technology Council on March 19, 2013.
