Ways To Help!
Click here for specific volunteer needs. General descriptions of how you can help are below:
Work with Girls – Provide activities for girls! Be on the front lines of Girl Scout program as a troop leader or program facilitator to support our girls at summer camp or during the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
Work with Adults – Be part of a team! Work with fellow adults as a part of a Service Unit or alongside fellow volunteers to support our girls.
Train Adults – Give us your expertise! Provide adults with the resources and information needed to volunteer with us by teaching courses that support Girl Scout programming.
Administrative Support – Use your administrative skills! Help Girl Scouts of Connecticut by typing, filing, answering phones, research, and helping out at special events.
Public Relations Representatives – Spread the word! Write press releases about girls in your town or help the Communications department take photos of great Girl Scout activities and events.
Historical Museum – Help us share our history! Become a docent at the GSOFCT McGuff Museum of Girl Scout History in North Haven and share your love of history with others.
Gold Award Mentor – Help girls achieve their goals! Be a part of our Gold Award committee and mentor older girls working towards the highest award in Girl Scouting.
Episodic Volunteering – Give girls a day or an adventure! Work outside at our properties. Or, you can provide girls with our signature programming on healthy living, anti-bullying, or science and technology.
*All volunteer opportunities can be short or long term.
