More than 350 friends and supporters enjoyed a ceremonial Girl Scout evening to honor this year's Woman of Merit, Anika Noni Rose. A Broadway and film actress, and former Bloomfield Girl Scout, Ms. Rose accepted the Woman of Merit award for her personal achievement, leadership skills, and commitment to community involvement.  GSOFCT would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our generous supporters who helped us raise over $200,000 to support our unique enrichment, educational, recreational, and personal development programs designed to help girls in grades K - 12 bring out the best in themselves and their communities.  Girl Scouts has been helping girls develop leadership skills for almost 100 years, and your support will help us continue to provide exceptional leadership experiences for girls in Connecticut.
