Pet Food Pantry

What issue did your Take Action project address?
My project addressed pet hunger and helping the less fortunate in town provide for their animals.

What was your Take Action Project? Who did you involve in your project?
My Take Action Project was to collect pet food and donate it to the Brookfield Food Pantry. I involved the Brookfield Social Services and the Brookfield Food Pantry.

What were the results? How did it affect the community?
I helped people in need feed their pets. I let people know that the Food Pantry accepts pet food donations and that it's okay to donate to the pantry. The people who needed money for pet food can now feed their pet for free. It's one less expense to worry about.

What did you learn from the experience?
I learned that I am really interested in helping people and their animals. I also learned that a lot of pets die from malnutrition because their owners can't afford to feed them.
Some animals even have to be given to shelters because their owners can't take care of them.
