What issue did your Take Action project address?
North Mianus School in Riverside CT was in need of first-aid kits for all the classrooms.

What was your Take Action Project? Who did you involve in your project?
We met with the Principal and Assistant Principal of NMS, to design a plan to collect donations in the school community. After a school wide collection and through corporate sponsors we were able to fill and assemble 27 first-aid kits.

What were the results? How did it affect the community?
By supplying first-aid kits for each classroom teachers are able to address minor first-aid issues without having the students leave the classroom to visit the nurse.

What did you learn from the experience?
While working on our silver award we learned how to communicate with school officials and the school community. We also learned how to work well with teammates and evenly distribute the work between the two of us.
