What issue did your Take Action project address?
Our project addresses the issue of people getting hurt due to unsafe condition in the State Park. We built safe bridges so
people would no longer risk injury.

What was your Take Action Project? Who did you involve in your project?
Our project involved CT State Parks and Rec, UBS, Johnson's
Hardware, Avalonia Land Conservancy, Groton open space, and our parents.

What were the results? How did it affect the community?
The result of our project is that people will be able to enjoy the park in a safer way. The communities will no longer risk injury when crossing the streams.

What did you learn from the experience?
We learned about the regulations it takes to build a bridge. We also learned what it takes to keep a trail clean and what need to be taken care of in the local parks.
