The Eastern Connecticut Trefoil Corps is headquartered in the Girl Scouts of Connecticut Council's New London Service Center in New London, Connecticut. It was established in 2005 in response to a low number of trained volunteers in the communities of Norwich, Windham, Groton, and New London. AmeriCorps members recruit and train adult volunteers. Members do this through such activities as identifying potential volunteer resources in each community and developing relationships with schools, churches, and community, government, civic and multicultural organizations for volunteer support. They will mentor volunteers and provide training in age appropriate learning activities that support girls in Girl Scouting.
