Spend the weekend tent camping and exploring STEM careers. Climb aboard helicopters, test your piloting skills, tour the assembly floor, and take workshops related to all the careers Sikorsky and its parent company, Lockheed Martin offer.
Girl Scouts ages 12 and older by Sept 20, 2024 are eligible to participate; there is no exception to this minimum age. Adult supervision is required; Girl Scouts may attend with troop or family member adults. All adults must be current GSUSA members with a current GSOFCT background check in place. Girl Scout membership is required for youth and adults attending GSOFCT events. Two registered, approved adults are required per troop, however, to allow for as many girls as possible, no more than 2 adults per troop will be permitted. One adult per troop and those adults attending with one child must have Out and About training. Per Sikorsky rules, Camp Sikorsky is open to U.S. citizens and green card holders only.
Registration fee includes workshops, meals (Friday snack, all meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast), and Camp Sikorsky patch and t-shirt.
Girl Scouts will be camping in the large field at Sikorsky, and are responsible to bring all tents and camping needs. Tents can be rented from GSOFCT using the equipment rental form https://form.jotform.com/GSOFCT/equipment-rental-reservation.
Please contact customer care to request Out and About training for adults who are not yet trained. Groups that do not have at least one adult trained in Out and About on or before July 15 will have registrations for this event cancelled and refunded. This is a free, online training and is required for at least one adult per group.
Available workshops will be provided on July 15, 2024 and at that time we will ask you to provide date of birth, confirmation of citizenship or Green Card details, special accommodations and dietary restrictions, and workshop selections. Workshops will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
Financial assistance ($40) is available for Girl Scouts attending Sikorsky for the first time upon request. Please contact customer care to apply for this assistance. Girl Scouts do not have to register for the event before requesting financial assistance. Assistance is not available for adults for this event.
