Emergencies can be scary-but knowing what to do makes
all the difference. In this First Aid program Brownie and Junior Girl
Scouts will gain confidence and skills to help in a variety of
situations, from treating a scrape on the playground to responding
when someone needs urgent care. With hands-on activities and
real-world advice from community helpers, Girl Scouts will practice
what to do in an emergency and how to stay calm and safe while helping
others.
Key Activities:
- Practice how and when to
call 911 using role-play games
- Learn to treat minor injuries
like cuts, scrapes, bruises, and bug bites
- Build your own
first aid kit to take home
- Meet a first responder and explore
their tools and tips
- Discover how to prevent and treat outdoor
injuries safely
