The 2026 Treats & Reads Program October 2–November 15
Key Dates Calendar
- September 14: Volunteers can begin registering for the program at gsnutsandmags.com/gsofct
- Prior to October 2: Distribute order cards and family flyers to each Girl Scout and send the Family/Adult Welcome email
- Date TBD: Watch the Virtual Rally (coming soon)
- October 2: Order taking begins (in-person and online)
- Parents/guardians can register Girl Scouts and set up storefronts at https://gsnutsandmags.com/gsofct
- October 30: ACH Authorization due (if not already on file)
- November 11 (by 11:59pm): In-person order taking ends and parent deadline to enter in-person orders into M2 site.
- November 12-13 (by 11:59pm): Troops may enter paper order card data
- November 15 (by 11:59pm): Online ordering closes
- December 4: ACH Payments from/to troop accounts initiated
- December 2-5: Nut & candy delivery for service units
- January 2027: Girl Scout rewards ship to service units
Treats & Reads is Girl Scouts of Connecticut's Fall Product Program
Treats & Reads offers customers nut and candy items, magazines (new subscriptions and renewals) and other exciting products for purchase. Girl Scouts can participate in-person and/or online.
By participating, Girl Scouts have the opportunity to fund amazing troop experiences and projects, while being introduced to five important skills:
- Goal setting
- Decision making
- Money management
- People skills
- Business ethics
Girl Scouts and troops are actively involved in making decisions and setting goals - key activities in their entrepreneurial journey.
