New Girl Scouts of CT CEO aims to grow membership, instill confidence, have members 'go beyond their wildest dreams'

One of Elicia Pegues Spearman's earliest and most vivid memories of being a Girl Scout, she said, is marching in a parade wearing her Brownie uniform alongside her fellow troop members.
"Being in a parade and seeing everyone cheer you on as a kid, that was actually thrilling to me," said Spearman, who was named chief executive officer of Girl Scouts of Connecticut at the organization's annual meeting last month. "That was a fun time."
