Turn Holiday Spirit into a business success! Every season brings new opportunities for creativity and business innovation! In this exciting, hands-on program, Girl Scouts will design, market and pitch a seasonal product or service while learning how to turn their ideas into real-world businesses. Whether it's holiday crafts, summertime inventions, or back-to-school essentials, they will explore what it takes to run a seasonal business from start to finish.

Girl Scouts will create prototypes of their inventions, will learn how to get and use feedback from their community, and will learn how to deliver a successful sales pitch! They will also learn about the ins-and-outs of selling or consigning a product, such as branding, budgeting, customer service, pricing, advertisement, and product design while bringing their vision to life. If you can dream it, you can plan it and build it!

Our Seasonal Startup Highlights:

  • Explore product design: Learn about how to turn one idea or several ideas into an enjoyable or helpful product! Create fun prototypes and learn how to identify who is most likely to use your product.

  • Lead, learn, and Collaborate: Developing a product or a business requires teamwork, great communication, and compromise. Learn how to lead and share projects in the world of business, and how to uplift and inspire your teammates as your product evolves.

  • Pitch your idea and have fun doing it! Learn how real entrepreneurs pitch their products to people who can help their business grow. Learn how to advertise your idea in the strongest way possible, and to dazzle your audience with interesting information and demonstrations. Learn what kind of feedback you will need the most, and how to get it.

  • Learn about building a brand, a marketing plan, a budget, and a business: Learn about what it takes to sell your product in real life. Get inspired to create packaging designs, set prices, experiment with display options, and think about how you can promote your product to a wider audience!
