Test your courage in a game of storytelling, fantasy, and teamwork! Courage Quest is perfect for Girl Scouts curious about learning how to play Dungeons & Dragons, a fantasy table-top roleplaying game. During this program, participants will pick out character and be introduced to a classic Dungeons & Dragons game. We'll begin with a gameplay overview and then dive straight into a campaign we can finish in two hours. Girl Scouts will be split into two groups of 7 players at random during gameplay to encourage collaboration and making new friends. Adult Volunteers needed to supervise game rooms. Come as you are or dress up for a mystical adventure!
Courageous Dungeon Dwellers will:
- Learn Those Dice: Get ready to calculate your rolls, learn the lingo, and figure out how to level up your character.
- Flex Your Improv Skills: Are you a sneaky rogue with a dark past? Are you a lost goblin princess with a treasure map? or are you a wizard who is destined to save the world? Pick a pre-written character to step into the role as and build up your acting skills.
- Play Pretend with Friends: Hang out with other Girl Scouts, wear fun costumes, and set your dramatics loose in a judgement free zone.
During this two-hour program, Girl Scouts will receive a fun patch, certificate, and D&D inspired SWAP. Feel free to bring a peanut-free snack to enjoy while playing. This is a drop-off program. Girl Scouts attending must have a signed Annual Consent Form and Health History Form with them. Adult Volunteers can register for free! Early registration closes on June 1 at 5:00 PM, and the final deadline to register is June 25 at 5:00 PM. Secure your spot and register today!
