Raise your hooks to loop, stitch, and create hair scrunchies perfect for the summer! Crochet Club is a hands-on Life Skills program all about fiber arts and hanging out with your fellow Girl Scouts. Participants will learn three basic crochet stitches, pattern reading, and problem-solving yarn issues. This program is perfect for beginners with no crochet experience who are ready to unravel their creativity.
Crochet Club Challenge:
Know Your Tools: Learn the anatomy of a crochet hook and how to hold your yarn skein for the perfect tension.
Learn the Lingo: Investigate stitch abbreviations used in project patterns to practice consistency and flow.
Spin Some Fun: Finish a completed scrunchie for yourself and learn how to make it again for a friend.
Girl Scouts will receive yarn, a crochet hook, additional project materials, and instructions to practice their stitch skills at home. This is a drop-off program. Girl Scouts attending must have a signed Annual Consent Form and Health History Form with them. Early registration closes on June 13, and the final deadline to register is June 28 at 5:00 PM. Secure your spot and register today!
