Get together with fellow Girl Scouts while learning a fun new craft! Needle Felting is the art of producing a 3D felt creation using loose, colored wool and an easy-to-hold needle. And the great news: unlike other fiber arts like knitting or sewing, needle felting requires no complicated knots or stitches! Learn about the history of the craft, try out some essential and fancy techniques, and create an adorable 3D creation that you can take home with you! You can needle felt a fuzzy wool mouse, a cute and colorful wool snail, or any other favorite creature, character or item-- the possibilities are endless!

Our Felting Night Highlights:

  • Learn the Basics: Learn about felting history and get familiar with wool roving, felting needles, mats, and finger protection. We have everything you need to jump right in!

  • Practice Makes Perfect: Learn more advanced skills to bring your most exciting ideas to life: blend different wool colors and work with types of cores, framing, and armature.

  • Felt and Fellowship: This felting space is also a hangout space! Spend time with your Girl Scout friends and maybe make some new ones- all while crafting with tools that you can take home with you. Remember, felted creations make great gifts!

Each Girl Scout will receive wool roving, a felting needle, a foam mat, finger protection, easy to follow basic instructions, and resources for creative inspiration! This is a drop-off program. Girl Scouts attending must have a signed Annual Consent Form and Health History Form with them. Early registration closes on April 9, 2025 at 5:00 pm and the final deadline to register is May 02, 2025 at 5:00 pm. Secure your spot and register today!
