Archery Instructor Certification: Level 1 Training
Ready to share your love of archery with your Girl Scouts? Become a certified USA Archery Level 1 Instructor and learn the skills needed to facilitate the archery range at Girl Scout events! This exciting certification program is designed for adults who want to teach archery to their troop or at a camporee. Upon successful completion, you'll be equipped to lead beginner archery programs with confidence, ensuring a safe and fun experience for all participants. Whether you're a first-timer or experienced archer, this training will prepare you to guide others in the sport of archery!
Key Activities:
Complete the online portion of the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor course, covering range safety, setup, and shooting steps.
Attend the in-person practicum to gain hands-on experience in range setup and archery instruction.
Learn archery equipment maintenance and repair, lesson planning, and how to teach archery to beginners of all ages and abilities.
Gain the certification needed to facilitate archery activities for Girl Scout events, ensuring fun and safe experiences for your troop.
💡 Badge Alignment:
This training supports several outdoor and leadership badges, including the Cadette Archery Badge.
Who Can Attend?
This certification course is open to all individuals over 16 years of age. However, only adults (at least 18 years of age) are allowed to facilitate archery on GSofCT properties. Girl Scout Ambassadors may also participate. The online portion must be completed before attending the in-person practicum.
