Discover new skills and build confidence in leading Girl Scouts
through our Adult Training: Micro Training Blitz! This exciting
addition to Girl Scout Week is designed for busy troop leaders and
volunteers who want quick, practical tools to strengthen their
leadership. These focused sessions deliver hands-on guidance in a
fast, accessible format. Each micro training is approximately 20
minutes, giving you the tools you need - efficiently and
effectively.
Whether you're preparing for your next troop
meeting, outdoor adventure, or special ceremony, these sessions will
help you lead with confidence and clarity while celebrating the spirit
of Girl Scout Week. The intent of these sessions is to teach YOU how
to teach these topics to your troop!
Micro
Training Highlights:
- Snack Smart - Learn best practices for high-energy, easy to pack, allergy-aware snack planning, along with tips for healthy options and basic food safety.
- Pack Smart - Discover basic packing strategies for overnights, day trips, and outdoor adventures to ensure you're always prepared. (backpack-specific training)
- Dress Smart - Guide Girl Scouts and families in dressing appropriately for cold weather conditions and activities.
- Flag Ceremonies - Review the fundamentals of planning and leading respectful, engaging flag ceremonies, including proper flag etiquette and traditions.
Each session is designed to be informative, practical, and easy
to implement.
Training Alignment:
Participants will strengthen their understanding of troop
management best practices and ceremonial traditions that enhance the
Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Who Can Attend?
Open to registered Girl Scout adult volunteers, troop leaders,
co-leaders, and interested adults. Participants must hold a current
GSUSA membership and comply with all GSUSA and GSOFCT policies and
procedures. These trainings are not open to youth members
DBJCSA.
