Take your compass skills to the next level! In Advanced Navigation, Brownies and Juniors will expand on what they learned in beginner programs by practicing bearings, pacing, and orienting maps. Scouts will rotate through fun navigation stations and complete a mini orienteering walk where they'll put their new skills to the test.

Key Activities
- Practice taking and following compass bearings (90°, 180°, 270°)
- Use pacing to measure distances and apply them to short routes
- Learn how to orient a map to North and match it to real-world landmarks
- Complete a short orienteering walk with checkpoints

Badge Alignment: This program aligns to parts of the Brownie Hiker, Brownie First Aid, and Letterboxer badges, and the Junior Camper, Junior First Aid, Geocacher badges. Skills introduced here help lay the foundation for future outdoor adventures.

Who Can Attend? Open to Girl Scout Brownies and Juniors. Girls may attend with their troop or individually. Girl Scouts attending without a troop must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a current GSUSA membership.
