Ready for a real challenge? Advanced Navigation is designed for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors who want to master map and compass skills. Scouts will learn how to correct for declination, use triangulation to pinpoint their location, and navigate multi-step bearings. The session culminates in an orienteering-style adventure that will test their leadership and outdoor navigation confidence.

Key Activities
- Practice correcting bearings for declination
- Use pacing and bearings together to follow multi-step routes
- Try triangulation to determine exact location on a map

Badge Alignment: Participation in this program supports steps of the Cadette Trailblazing, First AId, and  Night Owl badges, Senior Adventurer, First Aid,  and Traveler badges, and Ambassador Survival and First Aid badges badges. Skills developed here strengthen outdoor leadership and navigation abilities.

Who Can Attend? Open to Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. Girls may attend with their troop or individually. For GSOFCT events where adults are not required to stay, Girl Scouts must bring their signed Annual Consent and Health History forms at check in. If more than 3 members of your troop are attending, a registered adult is required to attend with them.
