Whether you're exploring the backcountry, leading a
group, or just hanging out with friends-knowing what to do in an
emergency is powerful. In this first aid program Cadette through
Ambassador Girl Scouts will learn how to respond to a variety of
real-life situations, from outdoor injuries to life-threatening
emergencies. With hands-on practice and expert advice, you'll grow
your confidence and ability to step in with care, calm, and
courage.
Key Activities:
- Learn how to use first
aid kits and create a personalized take-home version
- Practice
responding to emergencies like choking, seizures, and bleeding

Discover how to make a splint using everyday items
- Talk to
real first responders and learn about careers in emergency
medicine
- Explore wilderness-specific emergency skills and how
to get help in remote locations
Badge Alignment: This
program supports steps in the Cadette First Aid, Senior First Aid, and
Ambassador First Aid badges..
Who Can Attend? Cadette,
Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts. Girls may attend independently or
with their troop. All adults attending must have a registration for
this event and must comply with all standards based on GSUSA and
GSOFCT policies and procedures. Girl Scouts not attending with a troop
must have a parent or guardian with current GSUSA membership register
to attend with them. No tagalongs (siblings, unregistered adults) will
be permitted to stay at this event.
