Let your inner archer take flight in this exciting Outdoor Sports:
Archery experience designed for older Girl Scouts! Whether you're
aiming for your Cadette Archery badge or just want to try something
bold and empowering, this 2-hour adventure combines skill-building,
themed challenges, and fun competition. Participants will explore
archery equipment, safety practices, and mental focus while playing
creative target games inspired by epic quests and nature themes.
"Target Time" Highlights:
- Dive into archery
terminology and match equipment pieces through hands-on learning
- Practice stance, aim, and technique on the range with real bows and
arrows
- Compete in fun mini-games to test accuracy and focus
with your fellow archers
Badge Alignment: This event
supports the Cadette Archery badge and offers a meaningful challenge
for Seniors and Ambassadors interested in honing outdoor recreation
skills, leadership, and personal growth through sport.
Who Can Attend?
Open to registered Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors,
and Ambassadors. Adult supervision is required. All adults attending
must have a registration for this event and must comply with all
standards based on GSUSA and GSOFCT policies and procedures. Girl
Scouts not attending with a troop must have a parent or guardian with
current GSUSA membership register to attend with them. No tagalongs
(siblings, unregistered adults) will be permitted to stay at this
event. Please review ratios for supervision for Girl Scout events
before registering for this event. Troop volunteers are encouraged to
check GSUSA Safety Activity checkpoints for activities to ensure Girl
Scouts are ready to participate.
