This flexible, self-paced summer experience invites Girl Scouts of all levels to celebrate reading through fun challenges, community connections, and Girl Scout-powered storytelling. Complete activities on your Summer Story Swap BINGO card, join free virtual book clubs, and visit Story Swap Stations across Connecticut to keep the adventure going all season long.

💡 Badge Alignment: This is a fun patch experience designed to encourage literacy, curiosity, and summer engagement. It is not badge-earning.
Who Can Participate?
Girl Scouts of all levels are welcome to participate. Individual Girl Scouts, families, and troops may all join the fun. No minimum number of participants is required.
Adult Volunteers
This is a self-guided patch program. Adult support may be helpful for Girl Scouts participating in reading and Story Swap Station visits.
Registration Information
📝 Registration WIndow: May 15 through July 15
📝 Fee: $5 per
Girl Scout
📝 Program Runs: June 15 - August 23 (10 weeks)
Additional Notes
📌 After completing the program, participants will fill out a simple
form to share their experience and become eligible to pick up their
patch at one of our service center shops.If participants are out of
council, they will be asked to pay a small shipping fee in addition to
the participation fee.
