Westport, CT - Westport Girl Scouts recently proved that community service can be both meaningful and fun! During a special ice skating event, scouts invited families to bring nonperishable food items to support Homes with Hope, a local organization dedicated to helping individuals and families facing homelessness.
The rink was filled with laughter and energy as scouts enjoyed time on the ice, but the highlight of the day was the generosity shown by attendees. Together, they collected a bounty of food donations, which the scouts later delivered to Homes with Hope.
Leaders praised the effort as a perfect example of how Girl Scouts weave service into everyday activities. By combining recreation with giving back, the scouts demonstrated that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the community.
