Stratford, CT — Girl Scout Troop 30093 of the Barnum Service Unit is stepping up to meet critical needs in the community through a series of service projects.
The troop is currently collecting toiletries, blankets, gloves, and socks to support the St. James Bridge Ministry, which distributes these items on the second Sunday of each month. Collection boxes will be placed at a local diner and other businesses willing to host them, making it easy for residents to contribute. Girl Scouts are also invited to assist with the distribution, offering a hands-on opportunity to connect with those in need.
Leaders note that rising prices, job losses, and increasing homelessness have made these donations more important than ever. By focusing on essential items, the troop hopes to provide comfort and dignity to individuals facing difficult circumstances.
